My Journal

I started a journal on Valentine's Day! I am really enjoying journaling my thoughts, feelings, ideas, and daily events. Somedays I have so much to say I could use a bigger journal. I would eventually like to be more creative with my journal. Use stamps, pictures, and paper. I try to remember to add Epherma (paper from daily life) in my journal.

Here is picture of my journal, its very boring!! But I wanted to make sure I would stick with it before I bought something really nice.
I am proud of myself for sticking with it. Stacy Julians book "The Big Picture" really inspired me to start this journal. If you have not read this book, I highly suggest it.
Here is what Stacy wrote in her book about journaling.
"The real reason behind my Everyday album (Journal) is to record the details in my routine as a working mom surrounded by a chaotic househould of young children. There is a lot about "ordinary" life that's completely foreign to most people, and yet at the same time, some aspects of it probably feel familiar to many. I wish it were easier for people to believe that their everyday stories are interesting. I really believe they are."
She also wrote.
"This notebook will become your creativity fun book, a place to collect, record, and reflect as you acknowledge creative thoughts and discover how to act on them. Pay Attention, be open to what your world is telling you. Write down what you learn, this is where your fun book comes into play. Writing down how you've surprised and how you surprise others will make your experience more concrete and enduring."
So....I challenge you to start your journal today!!!
Get a notebook. Pre-date the journal for the whole month of March. And go for it!! Start today!!!

To Value Each Day

My quote for the day says:

Teach me, Father, to value each day, to live, to love, to laugh, to play. -Kathi Mills

If we could live by this, we would be much happier people!! Sometimes we let stressful things and situations get into the way. I challenge you to live, love, laugh, and play this weekend!!!

Do something you enjoy, don't worry about your house, your to do list, or your piles of laundry. Get out and do something fun.

Some of the best times I can remember are when you laugh so hard you just can't stop. Isn't it wonderful to really laugh? We have a saying in our family, don't have fun or laugh without me. You hate to miss a good laugh.

So make someone laugh, laugh about silly stuff, laugh because you did something stupid. Just laugh!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Photo Box

A good friend brought me this idea!! This was so much fun to make. And you can do any theme box you can think of. If you would like me to make you a photo box, leave me a comment and we can talk about what type of photo box you would be interested in. On each blank side you would add a photo of your family and friends. These are so cute and so neat to put on your desk at work or even your coffee table at home!!!
This one I put together for Easter!! This would make a cute Easter gift!!!

Teaching Classes

I want to teach a scrapbooking class. However, I have no idea where to start!!!

If I taught a scrapbooking "type" class would you come and let me teach you something?? But the question is, what do I have to teach?? I need to figure something out. There are so many new, cute techniques out there. I just need to find something that appeals to everyone.

What type of class would you be interested in attending?? Be honest!! (Scrapbooking related please).
Leave me a comment.

For those of you who think its too hard to leave a comment, it so easy! Click on the blue highlighted area that says O Comments, it might actually say 1 or 2 Comments if someone actually left me a comment. Anyways, click on that and it will take you to a new screen. You will need to create a Name, Password, very easy and write it down so you can remember it next time (sometimes it will remember it for you, sometimes it won't). Type your comment and click Publish or Add whatever it says at the bottom. Very easy!!!

Tell me what interests you!!

Smiles

5 Things That Make Me Smile:

1. Watching my boys sleep, I love going into their room and watch them sleep so peacefully!! I always give them soft kisses on their forehead!

2. When my honey surprises me with a visit or I get a surprise phone call. That always makes me smile.

3. I love climbing into a bed with new, clean sheets. I don’t know why but it always brings a smile on my face. It’s the best feeling.

4. When I buy something I have really wanted. It doesn’t take much for me get all fired up about something. New scrapbook supplies, new bras, new shoes, new shirt. All these things make me smile.

5. When someone pays me a compliment. A lot of times I feel badly about the way I look and when someone says something nice to me, it will totally make my day. I will probably carry that smile around with me most of the day.

I don’t know about you, but I love to smile. It doesn’t usually take much to make me smile.
However, I got bad news about a good friend of mine yesterday. I don’t feel like smiling much today. But, I can smile knowing that our mighty God can do anything. I pray that the good Lord will lay his healing hands on our friend this very moment and heal his body. I know God is a mighty God who can do amazing things! God has a plan for my friend, and I am praying today that he be healed and able to go home with his wife and children soon!
Like I heard a good man say last night, I will say it myself, “I am just glad I am saved!”.

New "Used" Camera

If you read one thing today, you need to read Stacy Julian’s post on her blog today, here is the link.
http://stacysbigpicture.typepad.com/

And some AWESOME news!! I have a “used” play digital camera thanks to a nice friend at work. I can now share some photos with you. I figure I can learn and play with this used camera and then find me a good one soon!!
I was testing the digital camera out on my lunch hour and my son wanted me to take a picture of him holding his new book he got in Library today. He is so excited because he gets to keep this book because people from all over the world sent his class these books. How sweet!!
What do you think?? He is so stinkin cute!! We are actually in the car, but I am not driving and taking the picture at the same time, so don’t worry!!
